A Little Shakespeare Chopper Style

This was posted by themotorcycleguy over on the best chopper site on the interweb TCU. Just thought you might like it.

To sell, or not to sell: that is the question:
Whether ’tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous handling,
Or to take wrenches against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them? To die: to sleep;
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
that only a hard tail can deliver
That flesh is heir to, ’tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish’d. To die, to sleep;
To sleep: perchance to dream: to dream of the next build;
For in that sleep we may dream of an even more radical build
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause: there’s the respect
That makes calamity of so long life;
But a life with only so much time to build
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
The oppressor’s wrong, the proud man’s contumely,

To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
whose only relief being in the wind on a bike you create,
But that the dread of something after death,
To look back and question, did I build enough? Ride enough?
No traveller returns, unless the Chopper Gods smile
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
And to build that of which has not been built yet.

$10 Can Of PBR ???

Well if you ever want to see one go to Meadowbrook for a concert. It was $8 for a 12oz of Coors or I could double my drink for $2 more..... boy you think of it that way and it sounds like a bargain. LOL I could have bought a case for the price of this one and believe me I didn't buy another. $176 for tickets, $45 for a tee and lanyard for my son, $25 for snacks and a soda, $18 for my beer and a Corona for the wife, total $264. Crazy!!!!

And to top it off it was a boy band concert. Hahaha My son had a great time though and that's what it is all about. I'd pay $264 again tonight just to see him smile.

1964 Starcraft Runabout

Well I started fixing the boat again and will have it on the water this year. I replaced the clutch dog in the lower end. It is located on the prop shaft and was an easy replacement. I have it all back together now. All I need is a new pull cord for it which I will get Saturday.

Then I will install the carpet and pedestals with seats. I have 4 of them. I am hoping it will be ready this weekend. Then it needs a plug for the transom and a cap for the gas tank. I want this on the lake before the first week of August.

New Headliner For The F250

As the header says I redid the headliner on the F250. I am out of money for shit I need to do but had the new material to do this so what the hell.

The one it came with all decked out with a CB. I got rid of the CB right off but the box was screwed from the top and the material was shitty.

After removal from the truck and the box from the headliner. I spray glued the blue and the back of the black new one then stapled all the way around.

New headliner in the metal frame work. You can still see the outline of the box but I wanted to leave the blue behind the black because it added nice padding.

Welding Floors In

I was going to start yesterday but it was 99 degrees and no breeze. Today was only 93 (Hahaha) but there was a small breeze. I welded in both floors now I need to get some fiberglass bondo to level and seal it then undercoat. After will be insulation, carpet, put the interior in and new windshield. Then drive the shit out of it. It will need other minor things but they will be fixed while I drive it.

When welding it's important to first make sure you have all your PPE on... Shorts... check.... Sandals... check. BTW I did burn the shit out of my feet but I didn't sweat as much as I would have with boots and pants on.

Some tack welding... turned out pretty good considering I did it.

The one "tool" I did have at the ready and the only unitasker I have in the garage.
