New Toy
Merry Christmas to me. I figure I am not getting any gifts so I would get myself one. It's one of the first tools I should have bought but one of the last ones I did. I borrowed one two weekends ago to do some exhaust work and realized how much easier it is than the cutting wheel. Kmart, which now sells Craftsman because they are owned by Sears, had this little baby on sale for $29 marked down from $59.

Weekend Chores
Well more stuff done from the list. Finished the log splitter I was fixing for a friend, did a new neck on it so it can be attached to a ball hitch, and ran some wire from an existing switch to the ceiling and put in a new ceiling fan/light to help with the darkness that seems to be getting earlier and earlier this time of year.

Nickel And DImed To Death
Well the Honda Accord is trying my patience this week. Thursday the car started over heating and blowing all the antifreeze everywhere turns out it was a hose between the engine and heater core that cost $25 with the antifreeze. Then last night the battery light comes on so I checked it this morning it turns out it threw the serpentine belt, that cost $25 and was a pain in the ass to put on. Then I went to fix the exhaust leak which turned out to be the flex pipe and a small other piece and that was $50. I can't wait to see what's next.

Random Crap
I did a bunch of it today. First was some rust repair and front tire swap on the Honda Accord. Then I have a friend that needed some welding done, tires changed, and axle fixed on a wood splitter. And in the middle of all that I sold a snow thrower and Harley rims and tires to people off CL and made a hundred and a half. And I still have to fix an exhaust leak on the car next weekend. I need to go back to work to relax.

Vote
Not usually a political guy and can't decide who's the better of two evils or the best liar so I have one question.

The Heat Is On
Finally got it installed and working. It puts out waaaaayyyyy too much heat. I am going to be out there in my underoos working on the bike this winter. The insulated pipe off the top will heat my wife's quilt room upstairs and there will be another one off the other stack on the top to the pool table room but that can wait.

Welding Frames
My buddy asked me if I could weld the frame above the rear wheel on his Montero. I did the other side last year and it needed an inspection. So last night we got the plate cut and area welded. Today he is going to undercoat it. I only have this one pic to show what it looked like and it was too late at night to get a finished one but you get the idea, and this was one of two that needed to be patched.

Fucking Railroad tracks
Well where I work there is a mess of railroad tracks. They take out bicycles and pedestrians like crazy. They almost got me one day on the Harley but the weather was good and I saved it. My buddy had a wet surface yesterday and couldn't pull it out. Did some damage to his bike and broke his hand up. And he did it in the exact same spot I almost bit it. Pretty much to drive a mile you would cross no less than 10 sets of tracks going every which way on the road. Sometimes you are riding between the tracks then hit a switching station. Kinda looks like this pic but with tar. Get well soon so we can ride again.

My $50 CL Find
I wanted to get a smaller snowblower instead of using my riding mower with snowblower attachment. I got beat out of a few before I got to this one first. She wanted $75 and said it hadn't been run in two years. I tested compression and offered $50 she said yes. Got it home checked the oil and put some clean gas in. Plugged it in and it started right up. WOOOHOO. Shut it down and cleaned the carb so now it runs with the choke off. Everything works so come on snow!!!!

Shuffling Shit
I rearranged the garage to fit the heater in. I moved the table with vise from the left to right and the big wooden one from the front left to left of the MC table. That gave me room to fit the heater in the front corner perfectly. Now to plumb and wire it this weekend.

Went to the Museum of Science with the family on Saturday. This is what caught my attention, nice old steam engine even made locally too.
